Charcoal
is placed in a pan positioned at the bottom of the barbecue.
Another pan is placed above. Fill this with water (or beer)
and wood chips or herbs to give the food its unique smoked
flavour. The barbecue has two grills, which are placed just
above these pans. Leave out the water use it as a hot
smoker. Leave off the lid and use it as a traditional
barbecue. Just move the charcoal pan up to beneath the
cooking grid. A small door on the side allows easy topping
up of the water. A heat gauge shows when it has reached an
ideal temperature to water smoke. The separate base pan is
superior to the Smoke & Pit models as it allows the whole
unit to be lifted on and off. This makes setting up your
smoker and refuelling so much easier. |
